Using Plato

Terms of Service

The rules that apply when you create an account or use a Plato-powered restaurant service.

Effective 8 September 2026

Last updated 8 September 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") form an agreement between you and Asquared Digital ("Plato", "we", "us") when you create a customer account, use a Plato-powered restaurant storefront, or use Plato business software. A restaurant may also apply its own terms to orders, reservations, refunds, or venue service.

Your account

Use accurate details and protect access to your verified phone number.

Restaurant purchases

The restaurant, not Plato, supplies the food and fulfils the order.

Your choices

Marketing is optional and can be turned off without losing service access.

1. Accepting these Terms

By selecting Create account, placing an order, making a reservation, or otherwise using a service that links to these Terms, you agree to them and acknowledge the Privacy Policy.

If you use Plato for an organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to accept these Terms for that organisation.

2. Customer accounts

  • You must provide an accurate name and a phone number you control.
  • One-time codes are confidential. Do not share them or let another person use your account.
  • You are responsible for activity performed through your account until you tell us it may be compromised.
  • We may suspend access when reasonably necessary to prevent fraud, abuse, security incidents, or unlawful activity.

3. Orders, reservations, and restaurant service

Plato provides technology that lets restaurants receive orders, reservations, and payments. The restaurant is the seller and is responsible for menu descriptions, availability, prices, preparation, fulfilment, food safety, refunds, and customer service for its venue.

An order or reservation is not accepted until the restaurant or the service confirms it. Prices, taxes, service charges, delivery fees, minimums, cancellation windows, and fulfilment times shown at checkout apply to that transaction.

4. Payments and refunds

Payment providers may process card or wallet payments under their own terms. Plato does not store complete card credentials.

Refund and cancellation eligibility is determined by the restaurant's displayed policy and applicable law. Contact the restaurant first about a specific purchase; Plato may assist with technical payment records.

5. Messages and marketing

We and the restaurant may send transactional messages needed to provide the service, such as login codes, order updates, reservation confirmations, and security notices.

Promotional offers and return reminders are optional. They are controlled by a separate marketing choice during sign-up or in your profile. You may opt out at any time without losing account, ordering, or reservation access.

6. Acceptable use

  • Do not misuse the service, interfere with its operation, probe it for vulnerabilities, or bypass access controls.
  • Do not submit unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, infringing, or misleading content or transactions.
  • Do not use another person's identity, phone number, payment method, account, or table session without permission.

7. Availability and changes

We work to keep Plato available and accurate, but the service may be interrupted by maintenance, networks, providers, or events outside our control. Features may change as the product and legal requirements evolve.

8. Responsibility and liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded. To the extent permitted by law, Plato is not responsible for a restaurant's food, venue operations, fulfilment, statements, or acts, or for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the service.

9. Ending use and account deletion

You may stop using Plato at any time and may request account or personal-data deletion through hello@plato.eg. We may retain records where required for transactions, security, disputes, or law, as explained in the Privacy Policy.

10. Law, changes, and contact

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to Asquared Digital and the service you use, without limiting mandatory consumer rights in your country. We may update these Terms and will post the new date and provide additional notice when required.
